A baby shower in the Philippine capital Manila was a viral hit after its organisers put the word “organic” in front of the names of the baby shower guests.
Organisers of the event said they wanted to encourage the public to buy organic baby clothes.
The name of the hotel is the Aquila Hotel.
Its staff wore colourful, colourful T-shirts and hats with the word organic on them, along with signs reading “organic”.
Organiser Maria Maria Rios said she had received so many emails from people who had been in the shower that they decided to put the organic baby name on the T-shirt.
“There are so many messages coming from people, who were not expecting that the word ‘organic’ was in front, but they are very happy,” Ms Rios told reporters.
“I think it was a good message to get across, it’s an organic brand, so it was an interesting message for the customers.”
Organisers said they had received more than 1,000 emails since the event started on Wednesday.
“Organic is one of the top 10 best-selling words in the world, so we think that the name organic is very, very important,” Ms Maria Rio said.
Organic baby clothes are sold in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan.
